Officials said Anton Jamail Harris, 18, would follow his victims to their apartment doors, force his way inside, threaten them with a knife or gun and then sexually assault them and take their property. However, officials said in some cases, he would knock on their door and then assault them.

Harris was identified by San Antonio police as a person of interest after matching the description of the suspect.

Detectives said they got DNA from Harris, which matched evidence from the sexual assaults, and he was arrested on June 8 as he was leaving North Star Mall. He remains in the Bexar County Jail on a bail totaling $775,000.

A Bexar County grand jury returned six indictments Thursday. Each one is a first-degree felony, punishable by up to 99 years or life in prison and a $10,000 fine.
