Tips needed in fatal hit-and-run involving bicyclist

SAN ANTONIO – Offense: Failure to Stop and Render Aid-Death (Hit and Run)

Victim: Rudolph E. Ruffo Jr. (56 Years Old)

Location: 1100 N. New Braunfels Ave.

Needed to solve the case: Identification and location of the suspect(s) and/or license plate and location of a vehicle involved in a failure to stop and render aid.

On Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, the victim was riding a bicycle north in the 1100 block of N. New Braunfels Ave. when he was struck from behind by a white van (possibly a Chevy Astro van). 

The driver of the van fled the scene without rendering aid to the Victim. 

The victim died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

The van will have damage to the right front and possibly missing parts.

Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for this hit and run that caused the death of Rudolph E. Ruffo Jr. (56 years old).
