SAN ANTONIO – A Bexar County Sheriff's Office detention deputy halted a suicide attempt by an inmate Thursday, officials said.
According to a BCSO news release, a 28-year-old man tried to hang himself in a bathroom stall around 8 a.m., when the deputy interrupted the attempt.

The inmate was taken to a hospital in an undetermined condition.
The man was being held on a domestic violence/choking - strangulation charge.
