Universal City man accused of drugging, raping woman in July arrested

Victim found naked in bedroom; exam test positive for date-rape drug

SAN ANTONIO – A 31-year old Universal City man is accused of drugging a woman's drink and raping her, authorities said.

Jonathan Jamal Williams was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and was taken to the Bexar County Jail on Thursday in connection with an investigation that started in July.

Arrest records state the victim’s cousin called police, saying the victim was found naked in her bedroom after Williams was seen walking out of her room.

The cousins said they had all been at Lush Night Club that night, and that Williams bought the victim a drink. The victim began acting strangely shortly after the drink, and they decided to take her home.

Records state the victim’s cousins laid her down on her bed clothed and took turns checking in on her.

Williams later showed up to the home with another friend. He asked about the victim and later asked to use the restroom, arrest records said.

One of the witnesses said they saw Williams coming out of the bedroom and checked in on the victim and found her naked.  Williams was leaving the home when he was confronted and denied the accusation, arrest records said.

Police said the victim’s sexual assault exam showed she tested positive for Benzo, a drug often called the date-rape drug. Another lab result received in November also showed authorities found DNA, including saliva and semen, in the woman’s underwear.
