WATCH: Texas Army soldier surprises mom at work for holidays

Midland ISD official captures heartwarming moment on video

MIDLAND, Texas – With Christmas just four days away, one Texas mom is already enjoying the best gift she can ever receive: her active duty son home for the holidays.

On Thursday, Midland Independent School District shared a video on its Facebook page of Army soldier Vincent Garcia secretly walking up to the Bonham Elementary School cafeteria, where his mother, Donna Garcia, works.

On the video, Garcia makes way to the area where the cafeteria workers serve the students, and his mother has no clue.

Her reaction when she finally turns around is the most heartwarming moment anyone will ever see for the holidays.

According to the Facebook post, Midland ISD said Donna Garcia is a member of the district’s Child Nutrition Services team at the elementary and her son, Vincent Garcia, is an active duty Army soldier serving in South Korea.
