SAN ANTONIO – A carjacking led to a short chase and crash on the city’s Northeast Side on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said Imari Boyd, 17, carjacked a woman at gunpoint on Ray Bon Drive near Midcrown Drive.
The woman complied and asked if she could get her child out of the car. Boyd let her take the child out and sped off.
Shortly after, police put out a description of the car and officers spotted Boyd.
The man led officers on a short chase on Interstate 35 to Loop 410 and ended up crashing on Loop 410 near Austin Highway, police said.
A handgun was found inside the vehicle.
Authorities said Boyd suffered minor injuries and was arrested.
