SAN ANTONIO – A shooting inside a hotel room early Wednesday on the city's Northwest Side left a man dead and a woman wounded, police said.
Both victims were in their 20s.
When police arrived at the Best Western Plus in the 4800 block of Manitou Drive after 1 a.m., they found the woman running in the hall with a gunshot wound to the neck, a police report said. The woman told officers that a man and a woman stole her gray Dodge Charger with racing stripes.
A green or gold KIA Soul followed the vehicle out of the parking lot, possibly being driven by one of the suspects, the report said.
The woman was taken to University Hospital, where she was reported to be in critical but stable condition, the report said.

Jonathan Santos, who was staying at the hotel, said he saw the woman as she came down the stairs.
"She was all bloody, she got shot in the neck," he said. "They had walked her over, downstairs, but when she got downstairs, she said she couldn't walk no more. She was passing out."
Santos said he was shocked by the violence.
"We were in the lobby and we heard the lady screaming on the phone, asking for help," he said. "I didn't think something like that would happen out in the open, out here."
Police haven't established a motive for the shooting.
