SAN ANTONIO – UPDATE: The man accused of shooting a security guard late Wednesday night at a Northwest Side H-E-B has been identified as Charles Mayah. KSAT obtained Mayah's mugshot on Thursday morning.

A Northwest Side H-E-B reopened Thursday morning following a late-night confrontation and shooting of a security officer.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at the H-E-B located in the 9900 block of Wurzbach Road.
The H-E-B security guard was hospitalized following the confrontation with an irate individual, the grocer's spokeswoman, Julie Bedingfield, said.
According to police, two security officers were escorting a man up to the office when a scuffle broke out and the man allegedly got control of one of the security officer's guns. The man then shot one of the officers in the ankle.
The suspect, identified as Charles Mayah, was also injured in the fight as both were transported to University Hospital.
Police said they believe they have dealt with the suspect before, and that he may have mental issues.
The irate individual was taken into custody, Bedingfield said.
The store was closed throughout the night as authorities investigated the incident. It reopened around 6 a.m. Thursday.
Shoppers originally had posted to social media following the reported shooting stating that an individual had been shot "multiple times." Those reports have not been confirmed by authorities.
