SAN ANTONIO – A chemical exposure incident at an industrial building Monday morning on the city's Northeast Side left 25 employees in need of medical attention.
San Antonio Fire Department spokesman Woody Woodward said employees were treated for nausea and headaches and didn't require hospitalization.
Woodward said 12 people were treated at the Texas Med Clinic in the 7400 block of Interstate 35 and 13 others were treated at the business, Industrial Container Services, in the 6900 block of Northeast Loop 410. The business cleans industrial containers.
Woodward said some chemicals were mixed, but officials don't "know exactly what happened."
He said the building "is secure and safe" and there isn't a danger to the public.
