SAN ANTONIO – A Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokesman said Friday that the agency will no longer deviate from prisoner release practices, hours after an arrested deputy was escorted out of the back of the Central Magistrate Office and away from the view of the public and multiple news cameras.
Corporal Kailin Kruger, 26, was released on bond Friday morning after being arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Kruger was walked through the back of the facility to an area that cannot be accessed by the public, instead of being released through the facility's front entrance like other people in custody, according to multiple sources.
After KSAT 12 contacted the Sheriff's Office, spokesman Deputy Johnny Garcia released the following statement:
After this incident was brought to our attention by your station, we addressed BCSO staff working at the magistrates office there will be no deviation from practices on escorting released prisoners from the Central Magistrates Office.
Kruger is the 17th BCSO deputy arrested this year and the second this week.
Officer Ta-Vian Gloeckler was charged with official oppression and assault on Wednesday after BCSO officials said he took off his uniform top and then fought an inmate.
