Beto O'Rourke to appear on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert'

Rep. Beto O'Rourke will appear on the "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" Wednesday, one week after appearing on "The Ellen Degeneres Show."

O'Rourke, who is gunning for incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz's seat in the November Senate race, will appear on the show alongside Keira Knightley and Martha Stewart.

TV appearances are common for the pair, with Cruz challenging Jimmy Kimmel to a game of basketball benefiting charity earlier this year. Cruz won the on-the-court duel.

O'Rourke appeared on "The Ellen Degeneres Show" last Wednesday, touching on topics including a charge of driving while intoxicated, which was later dismissed after completing a DWI program, and his thoughts on President Donald Trump's tweet of support for Cruz.

O'Rourke will appear on Colbert's show at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday.

A recent poll from NBC News / Marist found that O'Rourke trailed Cruz by four points.
