GUADALUPE COUNTY, Texas – The Texas Department of Public Safety is looking into two fatal crashes in Guadalupe County in as many days.

A 19-year-old bicyclist, Thomas Hagan, was found dead on Alternate U.S. Highway 90 near Beicker Road early Friday morning after a hit-and-run, and Tina Herrick, 46, died in a head-on crash on FM 467 about 2.5 miles south of Seguin at around midnight Saturday.

DPS said it does not know all the contributing factors in either crash.

A DPS trooper responded to the Friday morning hit-and-run at about 1:03 a.m., according to information sent by a DPS spokesman. Hagan had been riding his bike east on Alternate U.S. Highway 90 when a driver hit him, then drove off.

Then, at about 12:03 a.m. Saturday, a trooper went to the crash on FM 467. Herrick reportedly drove her Nissan Sentra on the wrong side of the road as she headed south and hit a GMC Sierra that was headed north.

Herrick was pronounced dead at the scene, and the GMC's driver was taken to Resolute Hospital in New Braunfels. The passengers in both vehicles were uninjured.

Update: there is a GoFundMe for the family. Any help is greatly...
