'Give me all the money': West Side food mart owner recounts moments during armed robbery

Robbery happened Sunday at Sam's Corner Food Mart

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are working to track down two people involved in a robbery that happened on the West Side.

The robbery happened around 11 p.m. Sunday at Sam’s Corner Food Mart in the 700 block of Cincinnati Avenue, not far from Woodlawn Lake.

The store owner said the employees were preparing to close for the night when two men entered.

Police said one man had a gun and the other had a knife. 

Surveillance video showed both men wearing hoodies and one holding the owner at gunpoint. The owner said he remembers the robber saying, “Give me all the money.”

"Your mind is totally just blank, so you can do nothing," the owner said.

The store owner’s wife was working behind the counter and was threatened with a knife.

Video also showed one of the robbers taking money from the register and tossing boxes of cigarettes into a bag. The pair also ran off with jewelry belonging to the couple, including chains and a wedding ring.

   

Anyone with information is asked to call 210-224-7867. There is a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
