Murder of pregnant woman in 2017 remains unsolved

San Antonio – It’s been almost two years since a drive-by shooting left one pregnant woman dead.

Very little clues were left behind in the murder of 21-year-old Ditraniq Hawkins on Dec. 2, 2017.

Hawkins and her boyfriend were driving just north of downtown when a black sedan started chasing them.

Their vehicle crashed into a truck, and that is when someone inside the black sedan opened fire hitting Hawkins and her boyfriend.

They were rushed to University Hospital where Hawkins, who was 8 weeks pregnant, died from her injuries.

Her boyfriend survived.

Days later police released two photos of the apparent vehicle the shooter was in.

The black sedan was seen with dark-tinted windows and damage to the right-back passenger door area, following the incident.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone whose tips lead to an arrest.
