SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Water System’s annual Spring Bloom event is returning after a three year hiatus and that means free plants for gardeners.
The first 1,000 guests to visit the event will get a free, drought-tolerant plant.
Available plants will include barbecue rosemary, blue spires, Roman red salvia and deep blue plumbagos.
Spring Bloom take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, at SAWS Headquarters, located at 2800 U.S. Hwy 281 N. near Mulberry Avenue. Admission and parking are free.
Signs for parking will be posted in the area. Entry to the parking garage can be found along N. St. Mary’s Street.
Speakers will also be at the event to help teach consumers how to measure 200 square feet of space, remove lawn and install landscape beds.
Attendees will also get a chance to learn how they can score $100 in landscape coupons through the SAWS Watersaver Program.
