SAN ANTONIO – The frontage road along Interstate 10 westbound near Medical Drive is expected to open on Friday after a water main break closed the street for multiple days.
The Interstate 10 westbound access road at the 561 exit (Medical Drive /Wurzbach Road) has been closed since Monday morning.

SAWS said the water main break was believed to be caused by ground shifting due to hot and dry weather.
Concrete was poured on the two outside lanes of the access road and a driveway on Wednesday. On Thursday, concrete was poured on the two inside lanes of the access road.
SAWS said the goal is to open the exit on Friday.
