SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is investigating the arrest of a BCSO deputy.
According to Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokesman James Keith, the San Antonio Police department arrested Israel Gomez, 31, early Friday in a parking lot in the 2900 block of Roosevelt.

Gomez was asleep in a parked car. Gomez is now in custody, charged with DWI, Keith said.
Gomez is assigned to the BCSO Detention Division and has been with the Sheriff's Office as an employee since January 2008.
