The video has been shared thousands of times since it was posted.
Beto Hinojosa said his family has gradually grown their light show over the past four years. Now, in addition to Selena's Bidi Bidi Bom Bom, the Hinojosa family's show includes a song from the Disney movie Moana, a "Dubstep Christmas" and a tribute to the troops -- "God Bless the USA."
Hinojosa said the show is comprised of about 70,000 lights sequenced to the songs with messages from Santa in between. He said the display, which won his family the Boerne Parade of Lights this year, takes about four months to put up.
The Hinojosa family's home is in the Kendall Creek Estates neighborhood. Hinojosa said they run the light show from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. every night, except on the nights it rains.
Despite the extravagant light display, Hinojosa said his electricity bill during the holidays is comparable to other months.
"They are all LED's and since our AC is off, not consuming that electricity, we pay about the same amount we do any other month," Hinojosa said.
The Hinojosa family's light display is a welcome sight in the neighborhood.
"Most people may think that (the lights and music) annoys (my neighbors), but they even help me put stuff up," Hinojosa said.
He said the display hasn't attracted too much traffic this year, but expects that to change after his Selena video was shared thousands of times overnight.
