SCHERTZ, Texas – The Schertz Police Department took to its Facebook page Thursday to ask for the public's help in tracking down a pair of purse snatchers.
SPD said the robbery took place at about 2 p.m. last Saturday at the HEB on FM 3009.
Police said a man grabbed the purse and fled in a Dodge Journey driven by a woman.
Surveillance photos posted by police appear to show the man taking the purse from the woman's shopping cart as she loaded groceries into her car.
The male suspected in described as a Hispanic man about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds. Police said he is believed to be in his 30s. The female driver is described as a heavy-set Hispanic woman in her 30s.
The vehicle the pair fled in did not have license plates at the time of the robbery, police said.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the thieves is asked to call the SPD Investigations Division at 210-619-1200.
Schertz police also reminded citizens to be cautious of their surroundings at all times.
