SAN ANTONIO – Marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash were found during a homicide investigation on the Northeast Side.
San Antonio police officers were called to a home in 100 block of Northgate Drive on July 28 after a man was shot and killed.

A detective searched the home and found 6.3 pounds of marijuana and $7,000 in cash.
Police questioned a woman who said the drugs, cash and weapons belonged to 18-year-old Jose Fernando Garcia Jr. -- the murder victim's stepson.
Detectives were unable to find a gun.
Garcia was arrested and is charged with possession of marijuana.
