GMSA Weekday Reporter

When I wake up every morning I hit the ground running!

It's a race against the clock to get to work and get on the air -- on time. From the moment I wake up, I immediately check my phone and start reading news headlines from overnight.

I have to confess, I'm a news junkie, and I'm lucky enough to work at the best station in town with an amazing and talented crew.

Waking up at 2:45 a.m. isn't easy. I'm not naturally a morning person. To make it even tougher, I'm one of the few people on this shift who doesn't drink caffeine in the morning. Fortunately, I'm passionate about my job and love what I do. It keeps me motivated.

Once I get to work, I immediately start working on a variety of stories. I cover everything from the most relevant, hard-hitting headlines across America to health stories, to the funniest stories just off the web.

I love the diversity of GMSA. Not only do we make sure to bring viewers the most important news of the day, we get to keep things fun.
During the course of a week, I could be live in studio, at the scene of a devastating fire or having pancakes with Shriner clowns at IHOP. Like I said, it's a very diverse job.

If breaking news hits, I'm ready to drop everything and rush to the scene to bring viewers the latest information.

I have to be ready for anything. It's demanding lifestyle with crazy hours, but I love GMSA and wouldn't trade my job for all the extra sleep in the world!
