SAN ANTONIO – A generous donation made to help a local non-profit organization provides health education and nutritious meals to at risk youth in San Antonio.
The Herbalife Family Foundation donated $10,000 to the Healy Murphy Center.
The money will be used to create the Casa Herbalife Program.
Designed to educate youth about the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle.
"Approximately 50 percent of teens here are pregnant, 25 percent are homeless and 92 percent are at or below poverty level," said Doug Watson Healy-Murphy Center Executive Director. "So support services we offer at the center are important."
The center is providing academic, emotional and physical support services to at risk youth.
