SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Fire Department has released a new video thanking the residents of San Antonio in the wake of the death of firefighter Scott Deem.
Deem was killed last month battling a four-alarm fire at the Ingram Square shopping complex.

The one-minute video shows images from Deem’s memorial and procession. Then the men from Fire Station 35 are seen offering their thanks.
“We here are Fire Station No. 35 would like to thank the city of San Antonio and our surrounding communities for the love and support you have shown us," they say in the message to the community. "We are proud to serve each and everyone one of you. Thank you, San Antonio.”
Chief Charles Hood also offered his thanks.
Deem died in a fire the Ingram Park Square on May 18. Two other firefighters, Robert Vasquez and Brad Phipps, were injured as well. Phipps remains in the hospital.
