SAN ANTONIO – Thrill-seekers can once again ride the Iron Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
In an email Thursday to KSAT 12 News, Fiesta Texas spokeswoman Sydne Purvis said the new roller coaster was open following a temporary closure.

The ride was shut down following the death of a 52-year-old woman at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington in mid-July. Rosa Ayala Goana was thrown from the 14-story Texas Giant roller coaster, investigators said.
"Over the last few weeks, we reconfirmed the Iron Rattler is safe to ride," Purvis said. "And to make guests feel even more secure, we added a seat belt restraint to each seat. The safety of our guests and employees is our company's highest priority."
The new ride debuted over the Memorial Day weekend.
