Juvenile victim hospitalized after shooting on East Side, San Antonio police say

SAN ANTONIO – A juvenile victim is in the hospital after a shooting in east San Antonio, police said.

Officers received a call for the shooting around 3:30 p.m., Thursday, after a woman traveling down Martin Luther King Drive, near Bookertee Road, heard three gunshots.

The woman stopped at a nearby H-E-B and noticed the female juvenile passenger in the back seat had been hit by a bullet, police said.

Officials say the victim is stable and was taken to the hospital.

Police could not confirm if the victim was a target or if the shooting was a random act of violence.
