Santiago, who has been missing since June 2020, has no known military affiliation, officials said.

The victim lived in Massachusetts prior to moving to San Antonio in June 2020.

The remains were found Dec. 27 near Salado Creek in the northeast part of the post by some people walking in the area.

The Air Force Office of Special Investigations is continuing its probe into Santiago’s death.
