A man accused of breaking into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office during the U.S. Capitol riot, placing his foot on her desk and stealing an official envelope was arrested Friday, according to a report from ABC News.
Richard Barnett was arrested in Little Rock, Arkansas, and is charged with three federal counts in connection to the incident, ABC reports.

His charges include entering a restricted building, violent entry, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds and stealing public property, according to ABC.
Barnett was one of several arrests made so far in connection to Wednesday’s riots at the Capitol.
West Virginia state Republican lawmaker Derrick Evans, Christoper Michael Alberts and Mark Leffingwell have also been charged by federal investigators, ABC reports.
Evans is charged with illegal entry after he recorded himself in a video entering the Capitol building, according to ABC. Alberts was one of the protesters “who stormed the Capitol” and was “slow in responding orders to leave the premises,” ABC reports.
Alberts was also armed with a handgun on his hip while on Capitol grounds, but police were able to detain him quickly, according to ABC.
Leffingwell is facing several charges as well, stemming from Wednesday’s violence at the Capitol. He’s charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds, assault on a federal law enforcement officer, violent entry and disorderly conduct, ABC reports.
As of Friday, the FBI is furthering its investigation on Capitol rioters and is seeking information on 10 suspects who “made unlawful entry” into the Capitol building.
