Police searching for answers following shooting of driver on Northeast Side

Man, 44, hospitalized with gunshot wound

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for information about a shooting early Thursday that left a man in the hospital with a serious gunshot wound.

They found him inside his car, which had several windows shattered by gunfire, outside a McDonald’s restaurant on Nacogdoches Road near O’Connor.

Man shot overnight after leaving Northeast side bar, police say

Police say they received a 911 call around 1:30 a.m. from a woman who was with him but traveling in a different vehicle.

They say she told them they had just left a bar in the area shortly before he was shot.

However, officers said she was very upset and unable to offer much more information.

They were not sure right away where the shooting happened, and had no idea who shot the 44-year-old man or why.

The victim was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

As of late Thursday morning, he was stable, according to police.
