Woman crashes vehicle into North Side house; no one hurt, police say

Crash occurred just before 3 a.m. in the 11300 block of Whisper Falls

SAN ANTONIO – A woman in her 20s was detained by police after she crashed her vehicle into a house on the city’s North Side early Friday morning, San Antonio police said.

The crash occurred just before 3 a.m. at a home in the 11300 block of Whisper Falls, not far from Wurzbach Road and Lockhill Selma Road.

According to police, the woman jumped a curb with her vehicle taking out a light pole just before crossing the street and crashing into a house.

Police said neither the driver nor the family living inside were hurt. A damage estimate to the home was not given.

The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS all answered the call.

The woman was detained on suspicion of DWI. Her name was not released.
