SAN ANTONIO – Students at Bush Middle School in the North East Independent School District got an unexpected holiday on Friday due to a power outage at the school.
An email from the school’s principal was posted on social media on Friday saying a transformer that supplied power to the school failed. A spokesperson with NEISD confirmed that school had been canceled because CPS Energy estimated that it would take six to eight hours to make repairs and get the power restored.
