EAGLE PASS, Texas – The Texas National Guard and Department of Public Safety have put up a steel container wall along the Rio Grande River in Eagle Pass.
Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted a video Wednesday afternoon showing the shipping containers being placed along the banks.

Abbott said the containers and other resources are being used to secure the border with Mexico.
The governor has long criticized the Biden administration over border security. He says he will do what the federal government won’t.
