SAN ANTONIO – A woman is dead after being hit by a car while crossing a West Side street, according to San Antonio police.
The incident happened at Enrique M Barrera Parkway and SW 34th Street around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say a woman was walking across Enrique M Barrera Parkway when she was hit by a car.
The woman was severely injured when EMS officials arrived. Officers say EMS provided life-saving measures for several minutes, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car stopped to render aid. No criminal charges are expected at this time, police said.
