SAN ANTONIO – A 21-year-old man who died after crashing his compact SUV into an 18-wheeler early Wednesday morning has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Authorities said Angel Gonzalez died at the scene of the crash in the 20000 block of State Highway 16 South, between Loop 1604 and Smith Road.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said Gonzalez was driving a Nissan Rogue southbound on the highway and an 18-wheeler apparently pulled out in front of it.
The SUV went under the 18-wheeler and got lodged, BCSO said.
