Firefighters said when they arrived, they found smoke showing from the attic of the house. They made entry and were able to get the two residents safely out.

Fire officials said they went upstairs and were able to put the fire out quickly and without incident. The cause of the fire has not been determined. The fire, however, did cause roughly $20,000 in damage to the home.

CPS Energy has since turned off power to the house. It is unclear when the residents will be able to return.

A fire investigation team will now work to determine the exact cause. No injuries were reported.

According to the San Antonio Fire Department website, as many as 10 units answered the call.
