SAN ANTONIO – A 27-year-old woman is in critical condition following a vehicle crash on Loop 410 late Wednesday night, San Antonio police said.
The crash occurred around 11:45 p.m. on Loop 410 near the Wonderland of the Americas on the city’s Northwest Side.

According to police, the woman was driving a red 2005 Toyota Rav 4 westbound when her vehicle stalled on the highway.
Police said the driver of a black 2016 Toyota Tundra was also traveling westbound behind a car when the car suddenly moved in an attempt to avoid hitting the woman’s Rav 4. The truck did not have enough time to switch lanes and crashed into the back of the woman’s vehicle, police said.
The woman was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered extensive injuries. She was taken by EMS to University Hospital, where she remains in critical condition. She has not been identified.
SAPD there are no pending charges as a result of the crash. No other injuries were reported.
