San Antonio firefighters respond to second fire at North Side home in two days

Damage is estimated at $100,000

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio firefighters responded to a fire at a North Side home for the second time in two days.

The second fire broke out at 9 a.m. Friday in the 8700 block of Sagebrush Lane, near Nacogdoches Road and Loop 410.

Firefighters say they were first called to the home on Thursday afternoon after a fire broke out inside the attic.

The flames were extinguished, but the fire rekindled this morning after something fell from the attic into a small gap in a wall, according to SAFD.

The home had already been boarded up and gas and electricity had been cut off due to Thursday’s fire, so no one was there at the time.

Firefighters said the home sustained smoke damage throughout. Damage is estimated at $100,000.
