Deputies said on that day, they received a call that claimed Uriegas beat and killed the 1-year-old dog, named Ruger, at a South Bexar County home.

Uriegas said he was angry with the pet because it urinated on him, according to the Facebook post. He told deputies he threw the dog into the kennel and when he attempted to help the dog, he realized it was dead.

Uriegas also told deputies “I just lost my cool,” according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

A necropsy report later revealed that Ruger suffered multiple injuries over his body. He had blunt-force trauma to five areas of his body, the post states.

A warrant for Uriegas’ arrest was issued on Monday.
