Police say the train came to a stop about 150 yards away near West Summit, not far from Blanco Road after the conductor first noticed the man on the tracks staring at him just before 7 a.m.

Officers first searched the area where the train hit the man, but they could not find him. He was not found until they searched where the train had stopped.
