PORT ARANSAS, Texas – Row, row, row your boat, gently down the coast.
Glow Row is a crystal kayak tour company that gives people the unique experience of seeing under the water of the Texas coast at night.

“The idea came once I saw the kayaks online,” Glow Row’s owner Zack told KSAT. “Most people never get to see the things that are active at night in a wildlife atmosphere.”
Kayaks are equipped with special underwater LED lights that give adventurers a glimpse into the water below.
“I have seen some pretty spectacular views, from a unique albino stingray to a rare seahorse,” Zack said.
Tours are available out of several different coastal locations including Port O’Connor, Rockport, Port Aransas, North Padre Island and Corpus Christi.
“Each route we have is drastically different. For example, we have a 95% chance of seeing dolphins Port O’Connor and we have more fly fish in Rockport,” Zack said.
Each location has a tour launching at least once a week with tours starting at 8 and 10:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Zack told KSAT he is a commercially rated pilot and uses his pilot training to account for weather conditions ahead of all tours, which helps ensure the safety of each tour.
Tours start at $39.95 and are priced per person, not per kayak.
Each kayak seats up to two people with a weight limit of 400 pounds.
Tours vary in length, depending on location, and last between 60-90 minutes.
