Crash happened at southbound I-35 at New Laredo Highway

SAN ANTONIO – A portion of Interstate 35 on the Southwest Side reopened on Monday morning after a crash that left a big rig hanging off an overpass.

The crash was reported just before 3 a.m. at southbound I-35 at New Laredo Highway, not far from the Loop 410 interchange.

Details about the wreck, including injuries, are unknown at this time, but an image from the scene showed the 18-wheeler hanging off the interstate.

Drivers heading in either direction were asked to take alternate routes earlier Monday morning, but the roadways have since reopened. As of 8:20 a.m., SAPD said they had no preliminary information on the incident.
