“These new marks help broaden the team’s brand with three adaptable logos, while staying true to the Spurs iconic legacy,” the organization said in a news release. “This announcement is part of the team’s season-long celebration taking place during the 2022-23 campaign to commemorate 50 years of Spurs basketball in San Antonio beginning in 1973.”
One of the designs is Texas-shaped with a black outline and a spur in the middle.
Another design includes the letters “SATX” in silver and black, plus a spur on the bottom.
The third logo is a basketball filled with the letters “SATX” in silver and black.
An initial collection featuring the new logos has been released on spursfanshop.com. More merchandise is expected to be added closer to the start of the season.
