2 women cut from vehicle by firefighters after rollover crash on NE Side

Crash occurred around 3 a.m. in 9400 block of Bending Crest

SAN ANTONIO – Two women were taken to an area hospital following a rollover crash in Northeast Bexar County early Friday morning, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred around 3 a.m. in the 9400 block of Bending Crest, not far from New World Drive and Crestway Drive just outside the Windcrest city limits.

According to deputies, the driver of the vehicle for an unknown reason hit a parked car and then rolled the vehicle over.

Deputies said two women, believed to be in their late 30s or early 40s, had to be cut out of their vehicle by Bexar County and Windcrest firefighters. They were both taken to a hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.

The BCSO said at this time, it is not exactly clear why the crash happened. There were no other injuries reported.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the Bexar County Fire Department, Arcadian EMS and Wincrest Fire Department all responded to the crash.

The investigation is ongoing, deputies said.
