SAPD: Man wounded in apartment shooting on Northeast Side

Incident occurred around 1 a.m. in 5100 block of Eisenhauer Road

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating after a man was shot while inside his Northeast Side apartment early Monday morning.

Officers were called around 1 a.m. to an apartment complex in the 5100 block of Eisenhauer Road, not far from Midcrown Drive and Loop 410 after receiving word of a person wounded.

According to police, a man in his 20s was inside his own apartment when shots were fired from outside in the parking lot. The suspect then fled the scene.

Police said the man was hit in the abdomen and was taken by EMS to Brooke Army Medical Center. He is expected to recover.

Authorities said the suspect fled in a dark-colored vehicle. A motive is not currently known.

The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS all answered the call.

So far, no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
