According to San Antonio police, at 2 a.m. Sunday, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Highway 281, swerving between vehicles before losing control.

The driver of the Chevrolet crashed into a concrete median on the right shoulder, pushing a car down the road.

According to SAPD, the car then continued to hit medians, flinging the vehicle from the left to right medians.

The Chevrolet then drove over the median and landed on the access road of a blocked-off construction zone. The vehicle continued to roll and slide in the construction zone before stopping, SAPD said.

The passenger of the vehicle, Moreno, was pronounced dead at the scene

The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to a hospital and was found to be intoxicated, police said.

SAPD said the driver will be charged with intoxication manslaughter.
