Man was shot 3 times, police say

SAN ANTONIO – A woman who was expecting her boyfriend to come home after a night out with friends found him outside her door, suffering from gunshot wounds.

San Antonio police were called to the couple’s apartment, located near Loop 410 and Evers Road, around 2:30 a.m. Friday.

They say the woman told them she had just received a text message from the victim, telling her he was home from his night out.

A few minutes later, she says, she heard arguing and gunshots outside.

She told police she opened her door and her boyfriend, who is in his 20s, fell inside the apartment.

He was in critical condition as he was rushed to a hospital.

Officers at the scene said they did not know why the man was shot or who shot him.
