Man broke into ex-girlfriend’s apartment on North Side, forced her to withdraw money from ATM

The woman had her children in the van with her during the incident

San Antonio police are investigating after a man broke into a woman's apartment and forced her to withdraw money from an ATM on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022. (KSAT)

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for a man who broke into his ex-girlfriend’s North Side apartment and forced her to withdraw money from an ATM.

Police said the man entered the woman’s apartment through a sliding glass door on Tuesday morning in the 11700 block of Parliament Drive, near Blanco Road and West Avenue.

The man pistol-whipped the woman and forced her to drive to a nearby convenience store, police said.

There, she was forced to withdraw money from an ATM. Police said the woman also had her children in the van with her.

The man ran away and the woman drove to a nearby neighborhood, where she found a security guard and asked for help.

Paramedics checked the woman out at the scene.

Police are searching for the suspect and looking at surveillance video from the store.
