SAN ANTONIO – A man was hospitalized after he was shot multiple times while driving along a West Side highway late Monday night, according to San Antonio police.
Officers responded around 9:30 p.m. to the 2100 block of SW 36th Street after receiving word of a person wounded.
According to police, the victim was traveling on Highway 90 when someone in a red sport utility vehicle pulled up alongside him and fired five gunshots, hitting the man in both arms.
Police said the driver was able to eventually pull over and was taken by ambulance to University Hospital. There is no word on his condition.
SAPD said so far, no arrests have been made in the case.
The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS all responded to the call.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
