Company plans to keep several other San Antonio locations open

One of the Bed Bath & Beyond locations in San Antonio will be closing this year as the company cuts costs to try and stay afloat.

The store located on the city’s North Side at 522 Northwest Loop 410 will be closing in 2023, according to the retailer.

An exact closing date has not yet been announced but the San Antonio store is currently listed on the planned store closing list, which was last updated on Feb. 7.

Bed Bath & Beyond has closed nearly half of its locations in the last year, according to the Associated Press.

In a regulatory filing, Bed Bath & Beyond officials said it anticipates keeping 360 of its namesake stores in addition to 120 BuyBuy Baby stores, the Associated Press reported.

There are four other Bed Bath & Beyond locations in San Antonio, in addition to one BuyBuy Baby store, which is also currently expected to stay open.
