It will be the second Peppa Pig-themed park in North America — the other is in Florida.
Details about rides and attractions for the new park have not yet been announced. It could potentially have similar rides to the Florida park, which has a Daddy Pig roller coaster, a pirate boat ride, muddy puddles splash pad and more.
“The success of the Peppa Pig Theme Park has been phenomenal, and we are excited to embark on the journey again with our friends at Merlin to bring another park to the city of North Richland Hills, TX,” said Matt Proulx, Vice President Location Based Entertainment at Hasbro. “We cannot wait for more guests to create lifelong memories with Peppa and her friends.”
Merlin Entertainments’ brand includes parks like LEGOLAND, Madame Tussauds and SEA LIFE Aquariums.
The Peppa Pig attractions will be geared toward preschool-aged children, according to a press release.
North Richland Hills Mayor Oscar Trevino said the “Peppa Pig Theme Park will bring more energy to an area already known as a destination for family fun. I’m certain it will provide unforgettable entertainment that keeps families coming back again and again.”
