SAN ANTONIO – Three people were taken to the hospital following a head-on vehicle crash early Monday morning, according to San Antonio police.
The crash happened around 2:35 a.m. on Interstate 10 westbound, on the lower level at Culebra Road.
According to police, a wrong-way driver crashed head-on into another vehicle that was on the highway.

Three men, two in their 30s and a man in their 50s, were all taken by ambulance to University Hospital, with one of them in serious condition.
SAPD did not say exactly why the crash occurred. It is unclear if any charges are expected to be filed.
The lower-level of the highway was closed as emergency crews worked at the scene. All traffic was diverted to the upper level.
